Dates don’t have to happen on Friday or Saturday nights. They don’t have to involve a sitter. They don’t even have to be an “event”. They don’t have to involve cute themes that are planned out long in advance: they just have to include you and your significant other. It’s as simple as that.
Have you and your significant other ever hit a rough patch where you are running on all four-cylinders, have so many irons in the fire, that when you get to the end of the day or week, you can’t remember how, exactly, you got there? Well. That has been the Life or Debt Family.
It wasn’t until Monday after realizing that we got so busy we forgot to plan our date. Setting aside time has been increasingly hard for us. We’ve been wiped out trying to fit it all in. I didn’t want to give up on our #52CheapDate Challenge– it’s too important.
Out of desperation and two aching backs, Monday night turned into massage night. We took turns giving each other a back-rub for 20 minutes. We listened to some chill music. Chatted. The absolute best thing we did on our date night? We went to bed early.
