It’s 4pm and I’m making dinner. (Organic grass-fed beef tacos, if interested.) This isn’t usually “me” but it has to be: I’ve become a mom to two kids in sports. This post is coming to you whilest I brown beef. Here’s the proof:
But while I was browning, I thought I could multitask in a quick Date #9 post (before tonight’s baseball game). Please forgive typos- using the phone to get this one out!
Date #9 was tasty. It included a growler of craft brew from the local brewery and homemade creme brule. Not indulged simultaneously- but I suppose if we’d opted for their Carmel Creme Ale it could’ve been a decent pairing.
For the record, creme brule is my favorite dessert. Last year we took a class in Chicago to learn how to make it, but hadn’t yet repeated the experience.
We found a pretty great deal on a torch (which is an unnecessary but fun tool to use) and whipped it up while prepping dinner. The torching was done after kids went to bed.
Cooking and baking together is probably one of our favorite low-cost date ideas & you’ll see variations on it frequently.
