So I’ve (Elisabeth) been here in San Francisco since Sunday evening and it has been nothing short of great. I love this city! But, I miss my kiddos and husband so very much!
There are so very many thing to do on a tight budget– but eating isn’t one of them! I’m a food snob and won’t settle for crummy food in a town known for amazing tastes. This is not to say that there aren’t great inexpensive places– I didn’t look that hard. My time has been spent walking the city’s hills– from Russian Hill to Telegraph Hill to Nob Hill and down to the bay and back up again….I’ve walked. I did take a cab (also not a budget friendly thing to do!) to get to Golden Gate park– which I then walked it’s entire length. I’ve kept myself entertained with my camera and a few standard tourist attractions. In all, this has been the exact thing I’ve needed: a break from my everyday, an opportunity to energize and sort of “reboot” my system for…well– life.
When I return (or have more time to sit in the airports waiting to get home to my sweet Chicago) I will post pictures of my favorites. Until then, time to hike another hill– my quads are awesome!
