We have 5 months left to finish our 1st year of blogging but our resolve to get out of debt hasn’t wavered (though our blogging about it has). We will push on into 2014 with the absolute determination that comes to many people in the new year.
We’re prioritizing a short family vacation into our yearly plans and we think we have an estimated date that all of our credit card debt will be eliminated! This year!! In 2014!!
Our personal goals are much more interesting than our financial ones; they are what will impact the way we do things, can teach us about ourselves, and feed our souls. These goals will also be met with the same resolve, the same determination, that we’ve used to begin to make changes in our life already.
These are some of the things we’ll be working on:
- Read more. Independently. As a family. Elisabeth is striving for 2 books a month. 1 classic and 1 non-fiction.
- Eat well. No junk.
- Family Fun Days
- More Movement. Every day. A little bit of exercise each day for each member of the family.
- Laugh. Everyday. I want to hear the kids giggle, chortle or belly laugh. Our oldest likes to make the youngest laugh so hard that he’s not even really laughing he’s just doubled over with his mouth agape not really able to catch his breath–it’s so fun to see them have fun together.
