A blogger that I read and follow, Girl Meets Debt, wrote this post today. It’s great news for her but makes an important point about the best laid plans: they are ever changing!
The Matter of Life or Debt family is currently on “Plan K”, but “Plan L” will be underway in just 2 weeks! Michael accepted a new job in the Sunshine State and the packers are coming to pack us up (courtesy of his new company!) and move us out!
We are very excited for this change for our family and our finances! A fresh start in a new town is just what our family needs. Sure, our financial baggage comes with us, but an adventure in meeting new people and seeing new things can help us grow as a couple and a family. We can refocus on the task at hand: the free things the area will have to offer will be brand new to us– making everyday filled with more adventure than we currently experience in the town we’ve lived in for years on end.
The kids are excited for the weather. I’m excited for yoga on the beach. Michael is excited for his new job. We all have things to look forward to– though it will be tough to leave friends and family here.
We are having another garage sale this weekend to let go of some of the last odds and ends that we don’t want to move with us. I’m not looking forward to that– hoping it’s worth our time and efforts!
