The other day I was being very self-deprecating, calling myself a quitter to my sister via a text conversation. After taking into consideration all the jobs that I’ve worked at and the roles that I’ve been in, it occurred to me that I’ve left each one behind. Many. A whole trail of previous “me’s” that have helped to shape the “me” I currently am. A number equating to nearly half my age in various roles and responsibilities. It’s a lot, I know. My sister’s response:
Yes. She gives a pretty kick-ass pep talk. I’m not exactly sure how one lists fighter on a resume, but I think that changing my perspective of my rather scattered past has greatly increased my determination and passion for that of my future. The tenacity to adapt, being creative, and passionate are all characteristics much more suited for resume writing– if, you know, I was writing one.
So, no. I’m not a quitter. I’m a very adaptive, creative, passionate, semi-obsessed with organization, fighter.
